A few months ago I was pondering on making a photo book of all my favourite images that I had captured over the last 4 years. I have never printed any of my images and thought it would be good to have something tangible that I could look back of my travels. Whilst browsing on social media I came across Saal Digital, a print company who where offering a promotion to photographers to try out their photo books. I thought it would be a great way to have my first photo book so I applied and they dually responded by giving me the offer to make my book with up to a £100 in value! Which was an extremely generous offer.
I downloaded their software, which I found to be extremly user friendly and I was up and away in no time. I have used another company for all my wedding photography books so the software was fairly familiar and the learning curve was simple. I chose their professional line of books with 40 pages and a leather cover as I wanted to keep it simple and enjoy the images inside. Once the book was made and uploaded, it took about a week to arrive to which I was quite surprised as I thought it would take longer, so very happy with the turn around.
Once I received the book I was very excited to see how the book turned out. Upon arrival, it was very well protected and the feel of the book was absolutely quality. The thick pages and the print quality was stunning although there were one or two images that were slightly darker than I anticipated and I'm not sure if that was a user error on my part or the colour reproduction .
In conclusion I found that the book to be of a very high quality and value for money, however in comparison to the company I currently use the book cost me almost half the price but it certainly wasn't half the quality so I would highly recommend Saal Digital and will defiantly be using them in the future. Please do have a look at some of the images below.
