I have been a photographer for over 20 years and most of that has been as a profession al wedding photographer. However, along side my wedding photography, I have always been a keen amateur in other genres such as bird photography, cityscapes and documentary photography.

10 years ago a friend of mine, Mohammed Sadiq, a wonderful photographer who I knew only via social media invited me to a trip Durdle Door on the Dorset coast. You can find his wonderful work here. I took the opportunity as I had never been to Durdle Door and it was a great way to finally meet him in person. Arriving at the Durdle Door, I was stunned by the beauty of the location and decided to see if I could capture the scene. I would experiment with compositions and long exposures and the highlight was capturing the sun beam piercing through the arch in the first image below.

I loved the experience so much that my love for nature and of landscape photography grew over time and here I am today.  10 years on from that very first trip, it was a great time to revisit where it all started. As a landscape photographer you never lose the feeling of excitement and anticipation on what nature provides in capturing a wonderful location such as Durdle Door.  I was blessed with good weather and some beautiful light and a burst of colour towards the end of golden hour. Although my journey has taken a twist since covid and continuous ill health issues, I cannot imagine not capturing the beauty of the UK and it has kept me motivated to keep going on my photography journey, I hope you enjoy the images below.
